Course Description R25/24 Revised

It is your (the riders) responsibility to read and understand the course below

START On Dual Carriageway in 2nd Lay-by Westbound from Blaengwrach Roundabout (McDonalds), at the western edge of the last drain in Lay-by. Proceed westwards to join Dual Carriageway at (0.091 miles) and continue westwards to Resolven Roundabout (1.593 miles)  Take the 3rd exit and continue westwards on A465 to the "Tonna Loop". At loop exit the A465 (6.081 miles). Continue around loop to Tonna Roundabout where take 1st exit (left) to Aberdulais Interchange - TURN (6.541 miles). Continue around the Interchange to take 4th exit left down slip road to rejoin A465 eastbound. Retrace A465 eastwards to Resolven roundabout (11.136 miles) where take 2nd exit (straight on) again along A465 to pass start point (12.845 miles) and on to Blaengwrach Roundabout (14.184 miles). Take 1st exit (left) along the cross valley link to it's junction with the B4242 (14.404 miles) where bear left westbound on B4242 via Pentreclwdda to pass the finish point (17.356 miles) and on to Resolven junction (17.688 miles). Continue straight on B4242 via Abergarwed, Ynysarwed, Rock & Fountain Hill to TURN at break in Dual Carriageway (21.186 miles). Retrace along the same route to Resolven junction (24.186 miles) then continue straight on B4242 to FINISH at a point 88 yards beyond Resolven de-restriction signs (25.014 miles).

It is approx a 4 mile ride from the HQ to the start. Allow sufficient time to get there !!!

 

All riders are asked to comply with the following requests

DO NOT park or stop your car within sight of the starting or finishing timekeeper.

DO NOT leave your number flapping - four pins are supplied for each - USE THEM

DO NOT allow your friends and relations to follow you around the course - it's not allowed.

DO call your number to the finishing timekeeper or your time may not be recorded.

DO keep your head up, be aware of your surroundings and HAVE A SAFE RIDE

 

Text Box: Important Notice to all Riders The OVW, CTT and Police all recommend the use of a good hard shell helmet manufactured to internationally recognised standards. For ALL Riders under the age of 18 these helmets are COMPULSORY. Marshall's will be positioned around the course they are there to show you the way, they have no authority over the traffic. Please be familiar with the course, so there are no surprises. It is the Riders responsibility to ride within the laws of the road and with consideration to other road users, please do so.

HQ -  TRW Social Club. (Directions from M4 J43)

Travel east on A465, at Resolven rbt take 4th exit. Then take next left, HQ is on the right. For the competitors car park follow road round to the left.

 

When warming up and riding from the HQ to the start and from the finish to the HQ you will spend some time on the TT course. Please ensure that you do not interfere with riders who are racing.

Spot prize £10 for 55th fastest rider from both events combined
